USA wishes Merry Christmas to PERU with its new "Country Specific Information"

The last report about Peru published in the U.S. Department of State web site alerts its citizens about dangerous areas in PERU, places americans shouldn't visit and several recommendations for their security around many others including the two most popular places for turists: Cusco and Lima. But, the most dangerous places are the ones shown in the following map.

Last days a lot of news have appeared in the media in Peru regarding this report (keep in mind this is not new, it was just updated), some agree and some others disagree with the information. The point is that this will affect the tourism in Peru regardless of its accuracy, here I completely disagree with the Foreign Affairs Minister as he explains his point of view here.

I guess the Bush administration wanted to give us a "nice present" during this Christmas 2008... something else to remember his administration for now and ever.

Merrily.

So many reasons to go to PERU

I was reading a post in the El Comercio online, a peruvian newspaper, about Machu Picchu and its position in a world ranking as one of the Top 10 places to visit... well, it has been named one of the New 7 wonders in the world, right? so I shouldn't be surprised it is in that ranking, don't you think?

Anyway, I took a look at the ranking and I also found so many other reasons to visit Peru besides Machu Picchu, at least according with this popular site "iExplore"... here they are:

For those who noticed, Cuzco and Cusco are both correct ways of writting the name of this great place to visit in Peru.

So... what are you waiting to go to PERU?

See you there.
